Windows is more mouse-intensive
than ever. There are a few things you'll have to get used to
doing differently than in windows 3.x.
The main difference is that you will use both the left
and right mouse buttons, not just the left button. When you
are told to "click" something, it means to click it
with the left mouse button and realease. "Right-click"
means to click with the right mouse button.
Here are the basic mouse techniques you'll use in
windows:
Left-button click. Clicking
with the left button "selects" something, like an
object or an option in a list.
Click and drag: You point at
an object like a window or icon, then click and hold down
the mouse button while dragging the object to another location.
Right-button click. Displays
a menu when you click an object.
Double-click. Starts a program
or opens a window.
